Lupe Ontiveros Biography
Lupe Ontiveros (1942-2012) was an American actress best known for her roles in The Goonies and Selena. She appeared in numerous films and television shows throughout her career. Ontiveros received critical acclaim for her role in Chuck & Buck, winning the National Board of Review award for Best Supporting Actress and receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination. She was also nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on Desperate Housewives. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Ontiveros graduated from El Paso High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Texas Woman's University. She passed away in 2012.
