Matias Varela

Louis Matias Karl Padin Varela, known as Matias Varela, is a Swedish actor. Born on June 23, 1980, in Södermalm, Stockholm, Varela grew up without knowing Swedish until he started school. During middle school, he befriended Gustaf Skarsgård, son of actor Stellan Skarsgård. Varela's interest in acting grew when Skarsgård applied to Södra Latin's drama program, located near their homes, and Varela decided to follow suit. After a successful audition, Varela was accepted into the school. He made his onscreen debut in the soap opera Nya tider and later ventured into the construction industry. Varela's career in acting continued to flourish, earning him recognition in both Swedish and international films and television shows.
