Mickey Guyton

Candace Mycale 'Mickey' Guyton, born on June 17, 1983, is an American country music artist. Hailing from Texas, Guyton's musical influences encompass contemporary country and R&B genres. She relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in 2011 and signed a recording contract with Capitol Records Nashville. In 2015, her debut extended play (EP), Unbreakable, was released by the label. Guyton's debut single, 'Better Than You Left Me,' achieved success, reaching number 34 on the US Country Airplay chart and earning her a nomination from the Academy of Country Music Awards. Following this, her self-titled EP was launched in the same year. In 2020, Guyton released the impactful single 'Black Like Me,' which shed light on her experiences as a Black woman in the country music industry.
