Pepi Sonuga (born Stephanie Sonuga on September 8, 1993) is a Nigerian American actress and singer. She gained recognition for her roles as Lacey Emery in the Starz horror-comedy series Ash vs Evil Dead (2016) and Tangey Turner in the Freeform drama series Famous in Love (2017–2018). Sonuga was born in Lagos, Nigeria to a Yoruba father and an Igbo mother. At the age of 10, she moved to Los Angeles, California. Sonuga faced difficulties adjusting to her new life and being bullied due to her accent. She participated in the Miss Teen Los Angeles pageant at the age of 15 and began modeling for brands like Forever 21, Hot Topic, and Skechers. She attended Culver City High School in Culver City, California.
