Reizl Bozyk

Reizl Bozyk (13 May 1914 - 1 October 1993) was a Polish-born American actress, known for her work in the Yiddish theatre. Born into a stage family in Bydgoszcz, Poland, Bozyk began acting at a young age with her mother's troupe. In 1935, she married actor Max Bozyk. Bozyk had a long and successful career in the Yiddish stage in New York City, appearing in numerous productions, often in comedic roles. She gained mainstream recognition for her role as the interfering grandmother in the film Crossing Delancey (1988). Bozyk also made a memorable appearance in a Law and Order episode titled 'Night and Fog' which aired in season 3.
