Roshan Seth Biography
Roshan Seth is a British-Indian actor, writer, and theatre director known for his work in the United Kingdom, United States, and India. Born on April 2, 1942, Seth began his acting career in the 1960s in the UK before temporarily leaving the industry to work as a journalist in India. He made a comeback in the 1980s with his acclaimed portrayal of Jawaharlal Nehru in the film Gandhi, which earned him a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Seth has since appeared in numerous British and American films and TV shows, including Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, A Passage to India, My Beautiful Laundrette, Mississippi Masala, and Street Fighter: The Movie. He has received accolades such as the Genie Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Such a Long Journey.
