Suhasini Mulay Biography
Suhasini Mulay (born 20 November 1950) is an Indian actress known for her work in Assamese, Bollywood, and Marathi films, as well as television. She has received five National Film Awards for her performances. Growing up in a Marathi-speaking family in Patna, Suhasini was raised by her mother, Vijaya Mulay, a renowned documentary filmmaker and film historian. Suhasini's interest in acting was sparked by her mother's involvement in the film industry. After being featured as a model for Pears Soap in 1965, she was noticed by director Mrinal Sen and cast in the film Bhuvan Shome (1969). Despite this early success, Suhasini pursued a career in agricultural technology, specializing in soil conservation, before returning to acting.
