Tate Donovan Biography
Tate Donovan (born September 25, 1963) is an American actor, comedian, and television director. He gained recognition for his roles in various films and television shows. Donovan is known for portraying Tom Shayes in Damages, Jimmy Cooper in The O.C., and providing the voice for the title character in the 1997 Disney animated film Hercules, along with the animated TV series of the same name and a few Kingdom Hearts video games. He starred opposite Sandra Bullock in Love Potion No. 9 (1992) and had supporting roles in films like Good Night, and Good Luck and Argo. Donovan also played Brian Sanders in Hostages and Mark Boudreau in 24: Live Another Day. He has appeared as a guest star in several TV series, notably Friends as Joshua Burgin. Donovan was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his performance in Inside Monkey Zetterland and has won a Primetime Emmy Award for his work as a producer on 30 for 30 Shorts.
