Terry Gilliam

Terrence Vance Gilliam is a British filmmaker, comedian, animator, and actor. He gained stardom as a member of the Monty Python comedy troupe, collaborating on the sketch series Monty Python's Flying Circus and films such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life. Gilliam transitioned to directing serious films, exploring themes of imagination and opposition to bureaucracy and authoritarianism. His films often feature dystopian worlds, black comedy, and tragicomic elements. Notable works include Time Bandits, Brazil, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, The Fisher King, 12 Monkeys, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Gilliam has directed a total of 13 feature films.
