Aaron Gryder

Aaron Tod Gryder (born June 5, 1970) is an American Thoroughbred horse racing jockey. He began his career at age 16 in 1986 at Agua Caliente Racetrack in Mexico. Gryder achieved his first win in 1987 aboard Ragen Henry. He later rode at Santa Anita Park and Hollywood Park, where he became the first and only apprentice jockey to win the Leading Rider title. Gryder has also won Leading Rider titles at Churchill Downs, Arlington Park, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Golden Gate Fields. In 2009, he rode Well Armed to victory in the $6,000,000 Dubai World Cup, with the largest margin of victory in the race's history. Gryder won the 2012 G1 Breeders' Cup Marathon.
