Abby Phillip

Abigail Daniella Phillip (born November 25, 1988) is a CNN senior political correspondent and anchor of CNN NewsNight. She has worked for various news organizations, including Politico, The Washington Post, and ABC News. Phillip was born in Alexandria, Virginia to June Phillip, a realtor, and Carlos Phillip, an educational psychologist. Of Afro-Trinidadian descent, she briefly lived in Trinidad and Tobago before returning to the U.S. at nine years old. Phillip attended Bowie High School and graduated from Harvard University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in government. She started her journalism career as a White House reporter and blogger.
