Adam Basil Biography
Adam Basil (born April 14, 1975) is a former Australian track and field athlete specializing in the 100m and 4x100m relay. He represented Australia at the 1999 World Championships, 2003 World Championships, and 1994 World Junior Championship. Basil was part of the 4x100m Australian team that won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships and the 2001 Goodwill Games. He also competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens as the first leg runner for Australia's 4x100m relay team. Basil placed third at the 2003 National 100m titles. He joined the Australian Institute of Sport in 2000.
