Adam Putnam
Adam Hughes Putnam (born July 31, 1974) is an American politician and former Commissioner of Agriculture of Florida. A member of the Republican Party, Putnam served in the U.S. House of Representatives for five terms and chaired the House Republican Conference from 2007 to 2009. He announced his candidacy for Governor of Florida in 2017 but lost the Republican primary to Ron DeSantis. Following his political career, Putnam became the CEO of Ducks Unlimited in 2019. He was born in Bartow, Florida, and graduated from Bartow High School. Putnam has dedicated his career to public service and advancing agricultural interests in Florida.
