Adam Silver Biography
Adam Silver is an American lawyer and sports executive who currently serves as the commissioner of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on April 25, 1962, in Rye, New York, Silver joined the NBA in 1992 and held various positions within the league before becoming the chief operating officer and deputy commissioner in 2006. In 2014, he succeeded his predecessor, David Stern, as the commissioner. Under Silver's leadership, the NBA has experienced significant economic and global growth, with a particular focus on expansion in China. He gained attention for his decision to force Donald Sterling to sell the Los Angeles Clippers and banning him from all NBA games and events following racist remarks.
