Aden Young (born 30 November 1971) is a Canadian-Australian actor known for his roles in American, Canadian, and Australian productions. He gained popularity for his portrayal of Daniel Holden in the SundanceTV drama Rectify, earning him two nominations for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series. Born in Toronto, Canada, Young's father was a well-known CBC broadcaster and children's book author, while his mother is a nurse from Newcastle, Australia. Young began his acting career at the age of 18 in Bruce Beresford's Black Robe (1991), which garnered international acclaim. His talent earned him comparisons to Marlon Brando in France and Mel Gibson in Hollywood.
