Adriana Carmona

Adriana Carmona is a Venezuelan taekwondo practitioner and Olympic medalist. She was born on December 3, 1972, in Puerto La Cruz. Carmona competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, where taekwondo was a demonstration sport, and won a bronze medal in the Women's +70 kg category. She also participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, reaching the semi-finals. Carmona's most notable achievement came at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where she earned a bronze medal in the +67 kg class. In addition to her Olympic success, Carmona won a gold medal at the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata and a silver medal at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg.
