Adrienne Smith

Adrienne Mary Elise Smith OAM (January 19, 1934 – February 20, 2012) was a prominent Australian sport administrator and a key figure in the establishment of the Australian Paralympic Federation in 1990. Born as Adrienne Mary Elise Funda in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, she attended North Sydney Girls High School. In 1960, she married Roger Smith, but their marriage ended after 12 years. After leaving the Australian Paralympic Federation in 1992, she purchased a mango farm in Grassy Head, New South Wales. Smith dedicated her time as a volunteer at the local Stuarts Point and District Community and Yarrahapinni Festival. She passed away after battling pancreatic cancer.
