Al Weaver Biography
Al Weaver, born Alexander Paul Weaver on January 3, 1981, is an English actor and writer. He is best known for his portrayal of curate Leonard Finch in the ITV series Grantchester (2014-present). Weaver was born in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton in Greater Manchester, England, and attended Rivington and Blackrod High School. He later studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Weaver's first paid theatre role was in Trevor Nunn's 2004 production of Hamlet at the Old Vic theatre in London. He received praise for his interpretation of Hamlet, showcasing his ability to bring depth and nuance to the character.
