Alejandro Posadas Biography
Alejandro Posadas (December 28, 1870 – November 21, 1902) was an Argentine physician and surgeon specializing in pediatric surgery. He was the first person to film an operation and brought the first x-ray to Argentina. Posadas made significant contributions to the medical field, including being the first to describe coccidioidomycosis, a disease later named after him. Unfortunately, he succumbed to tuberculosis at the age of 31 while studying in France. Today, his legacy lives on, and the Hospital Nacional Dr. Alejandro Posadas in Moron, Argentina, is named in his honor.
