Alex Austin

Alex Austin (born May 22, 2001) is an American football cornerback who currently plays for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Austin attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School before playing college football at Oregon State. During his four years at Oregon State, he recorded 141 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, four interceptions, 20 pass deflections, three fumble recoveries, and a touchdown. Austin was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round, 252nd overall, in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was later claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans on August 30, 2023.
