Alex Barclay

Alex Barclay, born Yve Williams, is an Irish journalist and crime writer. Born in Bayside, Dublin in 1974, Barclay attended Bayside National School and Manor House School, Raheny. She studied journalism with French at Dublin City University, graduating in 1996, and also trained at the Gaiety School of Acting. Barclay began her career in journalism at 18, working in various fields including construction and fashion and beauty journalism. She held positions such as features editor, deputy editor, fashion and beauty editor, and worked on advertising and corporate copywriting. Barclay is known for her crime novels and has gained recognition in the literary world.
