    Alex Denney Biography
    Alexander David Denney (24 June 1926 – 26 April 2004) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He was born in Wycheproof, Victoria on 24 June 1926. Denney was educated at Wycheproof State School and Caulfield Grammar School, where he excelled as a student, footballer, cricketer, and athlete. He won multiple races and events at the school's Annual Sports in 1942. In 1949, he married Betty Lois Coventry. Denney's football career was with Collingwood, and he made significant contributions to the team during his time there. He passed away on 26 April 2004.
