Alex Hanna

Alex Hanna (born 1964) is an English artist known for his paintings that display arrangements of disposable packaging and objects. He studied Fine Art at Sunderland Polytechnic from 1983 to 1986. Hanna's works often feature objects of little or no material value in a traditional still life format. He employs a combination of process-based and traditional painting techniques. Hanna has exhibited his paintings at prestigious venues such as the National Portrait Gallery in London, Glasgow School of Art, and the Royal Academy of Arts. His works have been acquired by notable art galleries and museums including Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Falmouth Art Gallery, and the University of Arizona Museum of Art.
