Alex Lawther

Alexander Jonathan Lawther, born on May 4, 1995, is an English actor known for his diverse roles in both film and television. Lawther's acting career began in the West End, where he originated the role of John Blakemore in Sir David Hare's South Downs. He gained recognition for his portrayal of a young Alan Turing in the Academy Award-winning film The Imitation Game (2014), earning him the London Film Critics' Circle Award for 'Young British Performer of the Year' and BAFTA's 2015 Breakthrough Brits recognition. Lawther further captivated audiences with his performances in Netflix's Black Mirror episode 'Shut Up and Dance' (2016) and as the lead character James in Channel 4's The End of the F***ing World (2017–2019).
