    Alex Stein Biography
    Alex Stein (born 27 October 1957) is an Israeli jurist and former law professor. He currently serves as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Israel. Stein was born in the Soviet Union to a Jewish family and immigrated to Israel in 1973. He completed his education at the Leo Baeck Education Center in Haifa and served in the Israel Defense Forces. After his military service, he studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, earning his LLB in 1983 and LLM in 1987. Stein furthered his studies at University College London, obtaining his PhD in law from the University of London in 1990. He has also worked as an attorney.
