Alistair Charles McGowan is an English impressionist, comic, actor, singer, and writer. He gained popularity in British audiences through his work on the top-rating comedy program The Big Impression, winning a BAFTA in 2003. McGowan has a diverse career, working in theatre, starring in West End productions such as Art, Cabaret, The Mikado, and Little Shop of Horrors, earning a Laurence Olivier Award nomination. He also played the lead role in BBC1's Mayo. A talented writer, McGowan penned the play Timing and co-wrote the book A Matter of Life and Death or How to Wean Your Man off Football with Ronni Ancona. He is also recognized for his voice work on Spitting Image and as a tennis commentator for BBC Sport at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships.
