Allan Greenberg (born September 1938) is an American architect known for his contributions to classical architecture. He is considered one of the leading classical architects of the twenty-first century, also referred to as New Classical Architecture. Greenberg pioneered the concept of 'canonical classicism' in response to postmodernism in the mid-1970s. His work focuses on establishing the validity of classicism as an architectural language in modern times. In addition to his architectural projects, Greenberg has written articles, taught, and delivered lectures that have influenced the study and practice of contemporary classicism. In 2006, he became the first American to receive the Richard H. Driehaus Prize for Classical Architecture, recognizing his significant contributions to architectural design and scholarship.
