Allie Long

Allie Long, born Alexandra Linsley Long on August 13, 1987, is an American soccer player known for her role as a midfielder. She currently plays for NJ/NY Gotham FC in the National Women's Soccer League as well as the United States national team. Long made her debut for the national team on May 8, 2014, in a friendly match against Canada and has since appeared in a total of 45 games. During her college years, Long played for the Penn State Nittany Lions before transferring to the University of North Carolina, where she was part of the team that won the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament in 2008. Throughout her professional career, she has played for teams such as Washington Freedom, Sky Blue FC, Paris Saint-Germain, and Portland Thorns FC.
