Under her tenure, Rocketboom's viewership grew from 700 to 70,000 viewers in its first ten months, making it the most popular site of its kind on the internet, according to BusinessWeek. Following an interview with Congdon on CNN in June 2006, the show's audience continued to grow, reaching 300,000 vlog viewers by spring 2006. Congdon left Rocketboom to pursue opportunities in Hollywood, as announced through a video statement on her blog on July 5, 2006.
