Amanda Payton is an American actor known for her roles in various television series and films. She was born in Santa Monica, California and attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts before pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. Payton made her television debut in 2008 on the CBS crime drama Numbers and has since appeared in popular shows such as Southland, CSI: Cyber, Game Shakers, The Big Bang Theory, Workaholics, Animal Kingdom, NCIS, Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, and Young Sheldon. She also had small roles in the feature films The Perfect Host and Beginners. Payton gained recognition for her portrayal of Nina Rudolph in the NBC sitcom Trial & Error, and has recently appeared as Dr. Alison Parfit in the police comedy-drama Code 404 and as Holly in the CBS sitcom United States of Al.
