Amit Shah

Amit Anil Chandra Shah is an Indian politician and the 31st Minister of Home Affairs of India since 2019. He is also the 1st Minister of Co-operation of India since 2021. Shah served as the 10th President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2014 to 2020 and has been the chairman of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) since 2014. In 2019, he was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament, from Gandhinagar. Prior to that, Shah served as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament, from Gujarat from 2017 to 2019. Known as a chief strategist of the BJP, Shah is a trusted associate of Narendra Modi.
