Andrew Long

Andrew S. Long (born 1965) is an Australian geophysicist known for his expertise in the application of geophysical technologies to exploration for oil and gas in marine areas. He holds a PhD in geophysics from the University of Western Australia and has completed a post-doctoral term at Stanford University. Long has contributed significantly to the field of geophysics, authoring and presenting numerous papers at prestigious international conventions and journals, including the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), and Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG). He has received several awards for his outstanding contributions, including the ASEG Best Presentation (1994) and APPEA Best Oral Presentation (2014).
