Andy Brooks

Andy Brooks is a British political figure and the current general secretary of the New Communist Party of Britain. He has been actively involved in communist politics since joining the Communist Party of Great Britain. In 1977, Brooks became a founding member of the NCP and has served on its Central Committee since 1979. Throughout his career, he has held various positions within the party, including international secretary, editor of the party's paper, The New Worker, and deputy general secretary. In 1995, Brooks succeeded Eric Trevett as the NCP general secretary, while Trevett assumed the role of NCP president. Brooks has participated in interviews and contributed to articles discussing topics such as Oliver Cromwell, the Good Old Cause, and Brexit.
