Andy Fraser
Andy Fraser (3 July 1952 – 16 March 2015) was a British musician and songwriter. He was best known as the bassist and co-composer for the rock band Free, which he co-founded in 1968 at the age of 15. After leaving Free in 1972, Fraser went on to form the rock band Sharks. Born in Paddington, London, Fraser had a Barbadian/Guyanese father and an English mother. He began playing the piano at the age of five and switched to guitar at twelve. Fraser was introduced to blues musician Alexis Korner by fellow student Sappho Korner, and Korner became a father figure to him.
