    John Andrew Hull, professionally known as Andy Hull, is an American singer, musician, and songwriter. Born on November 7, 1986, in Atlanta, Georgia, Hull is best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter of the indie rock band Manchester Orchestra. Alongside this, he has a side project called Right Away, Great Captain! and co-founded the side project Bad Books with folk musician Kevin Devine. Hull is also co-president of Manchester Orchestra's label, Favorite Gentlemen. Hull's musical journey began when his parents bought him a guitar, which he taught himself to play. His passion for music led to collaborations with various musicians and the formation of Manchester Orchestra.
