Andy Martin

Andy Martin, born Anthony Robert Martin-Trigona in 1945, is an American perennial candidate who has never been elected to office. He has run as both a Democrat and a Republican and has filed over 250 political lawsuits nationwide. In Connecticut, a federal judge once banned Martin from filing lawsuits in any court without permission, as he considered it to be a 'veritable sport'. Martin gained notoriety during the 2008 presidential election for spreading false rumors about then-presidential candidate Barack Obama being secretly a Muslim. However, he later abandoned this view and now asserts that Obama's real father is African-American journalist Frank Marshall Davis. Martin is known for his controversial political actions and lawsuits.
