    Andy Puddicombe (born 23 September 1972) is a British author, public speaker, and meditation teacher. He is known as the co-founder of Headspace, a digital health company that offers guided meditation training and mindfulness. Puddicombe, along with Richard Pierson, created Headspace to provide accessible meditation resources for users. Prior to his work with Headspace, Puddicombe was a Buddhist monk, having trained in various countries including India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Australia, and Russia. He obtained a degree in Circus Arts and has spoken publicly about how meditation helped him cope with bereavement. Puddicombe was born in London, grew up in Bristol, and completed a one-year cloistered retreat in Scotland before returning to the UK.
