Anil Desai

Anil Desai is an Indian politician and member of the Shiv Sena party. He currently serves as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the Upper house of Indian Parliament from Maharashtra. Known for his expertise in managing elections, legal matters, and back room activities, Desai has played a significant role in managing the party's resources. He is also credited with coining the slogan 'UTha Maharashtra' (Wake up, Maharashtra). In 2020, Desai advocated for a Two-child policy through his proposed Constitution (Amendment) Bill, aiming to control the growing population by promoting small family norms through incentives and removing concessions for those not adhering to the norm.
