Annalena Baerbock
Annalena Baerbock is a German politician and member of the Alliance 90/The Greens party. Born on December 15, 1980, in Hanover, West Germany, Baerbock attended the University of Hamburg and the London School of Economics and Political Science. She was elected to the Bundestag in 2013 and served as co-leader of Alliance 90/The Greens from 2018 until January 2022. Baerbock was the party's candidate for chancellor in the 2021 federal election. However, after facing criticism for acts of plagiarism and exaggeration of her professional background, she did not secure the chancellery. In December 2021, Baerbock became Germany's first female foreign minister as part of the traffic light coalition led by Olaf Scholz.
