Anthony Peter Bird (1931 – 2016) was a British Anglican priest, physician, and academic. He served as the Principal of Queen's College, Birmingham from 1974 to 1979. Born in 1931 in Wolverhampton, England, Bird was raised in Shrewsbury, Shropshire in his father's vicarage. He attended St John's School in Leatherhead, Surrey, and later studied classics at St John's College, Oxford. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in 1954 and a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) degree in 1955. Bird was ordained as a deacon in the Church of England in 1957 and as a priest in 1958. He made significant contributions to the field of theology and served as a respected figure in the Anglican community.
