Antonia Rey Biography
Antonia Rey (born Maria Antonia Francesch, 1927-2019) was a Cuban-born American actress. Rey's career spanned both stage and screen. She appeared in several Broadway productions including The Rose Tattoo, The Ritz, and A Streetcar Named Desire. Rey gained prominence for her cameos in movies such as Kiss Me, Guido, Jacob's Ladder, and King of the Gypsies. She also made notable TV appearances in shows like Who's the Boss?, Third Watch, and various Law & Order series. Rey's final role was Assunta Bianchi in a television production. She and her husband fled communist Cuba in 1961, despite offers of prominence in their fields.
