Antonios Antoniadis

Antonios Antoniadis is a professor emeritus of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He served as the director of the Α΄ Microbiology laboratory and Head of the 'WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Arbovirus and Hemorrhagic Fever Viruses', which he established in 1996. Antoniadis is currently the President of the executive board of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute. He specialized in Medical Microbiology and obtained the Diploma in Bacteriology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Diseases. He has also received training at renowned institutions such as the Yale Arbovirus Research Unit, US Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases, Central Public Health Laboratory in London, and National Laboratory of Microbiology in Stockholm.
