    Arlo Parks, born Anaïs Oluwatoyin Estelle Marinho on August 9, 2000, is an English singer and songwriter. Raised in Hammersmith, West London, Parks is of Nigerian, Chadian, and French descent. She gained recognition for her distinctive personal pseudonym, inspired by King Krule and Frank Ocean. Parks uploaded demos to BBC Music Introducing in 2018, which caught the attention of radio presenters across the UK. Her debut studio album, 'Collapsed in Sunbeams,' released in 2021, received critical acclaim and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. Parks was nominated for multiple awards, including Album of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best British Female Solo Artist at the 2021 Brit Awards. She won the 2021 Mercury Prize for Best Album.
