    Art McFarland Biography
    Arthur McFarland is an actor and former news reporter for WABC-TV in New York City. Born on December 5, 1947, he joined WABC in August 1983 and held various positions during his tenure. McFarland was the station's lead education reporter and the longest tenured reporter at WABC. In the 1980s, he worked as an investigative reporter, exposing children's injustices and unfair treatment by state officials. McFarland also reported on the anniversary of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. He was involved with WABC's early-morning newscast, initially as a co-anchor and weather presenter. Later, he became the sports reporter for the newscast and served in that position for several years.
