Asad Durrani
Asad Ahmed Durrani is a retired 3-star rank general in the Pakistan Army and a commentator, speaker, and author. He was born on February 7, 1941, in Rawalpindi, British India, and comes from a Durrani Pashtun family. Durrani joined the Pakistan Army in 1959 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1960. He served in various roles throughout his career, including participating in the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965 and the 1971 war against India. Durrani held key posts, such as an instructorship at the officers' academy and later at the Command and Staff College. He also served as the Director General of the ISI and former Director General of the Pakistan Army's Military Intelligence.
