Baard Owe Biography
Baard Arne Owe (3 July 1936 - 11 November 2017) was a Norwegian-born Danish actor known for his work in Scandinavian films and TV series. He moved to Denmark in 1956 and remained there until his death. Owe is best known for his role as pathologist Dr. Bondo in the TV series Riget (The Kingdom), directed by Lars von Trier. He also portrayed Gertrud's young lover in Carl Theodor Dreyer's film Gertrud (1964). In 2007, Owe received critical acclaim for his role in the internationally acclaimed movie O'Horten. Additionally, Owe invented ToDo, a training system for actors that incorporates anatomical, neurological, and psychological techniques. Owe was married to actress Marie-Louise Coninck and had three children.
