Barbara Adair

Barbara Adair is a South African writer known for her novels and contributions to human rights law. Her notable works include the 2004 novel 'In Tangier We Killed the Blue Parrot', which was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Literary Award, and the novel 'END', which was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Book Prize. 'In Tangier We Killed the Blue Parrot' is a fictional account of the lives of Paul Bowles and Jane Bowles in Tangier, while 'END' is a pastiche based on the movie Casablanca set in Johannesburg and Maputo. Adair is based in Johannesburg and also lectures on human rights law.
