Barbara Bodine
Barbara K. Bodine is an American academic and former diplomat. Born on August 28, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, she has made significant contributions in the field of diplomacy and international affairs. Bodine directed the Scholars in the Nation’s Service Initiative (SINSI) and lectured at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Currently, she holds the position of Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy and Director of the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Bodine obtained her B.A. in political science and Asian studies magna cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her master's degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She has further enriched her education through studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Department of State's Language Training Field Schools in Taiwan and Tunisia. Bodine is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and actively contributes to the board of directors.
