Beatrice Benaderet (April 4, 1906 – October 13, 1968) was an American actress and comedienne. Born in New York City and raised in San Francisco, she began her career in Bay Area theatre and radio before becoming a Hollywood star. Benaderet was known for her voice-over work in the golden age of radio, appearing on programs alongside famous comedians such as Jack Benny, Burns and Allen, and Lucille Ball. She became Warner Bros.' leading voice for female characters in their animated cartoons. Benaderet also had a successful television career, receiving two Emmy Award nominations for her role in The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show. She appeared in several sitcoms until her death from lung cancer in 1968.
