Ben Bowen

Benjamin David "Ben" Bowen (November 14, 2002 – February 25, 2005) was a boy from Huntington, West Virginia, who was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor in 2004. He became an inspiration for his family and others as they raised awareness of childhood cancer and raised nearly $4 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Ben underwent multiple brain surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and later transferred to St. Jude for further treatment. Despite his brave fight, Ben tragically passed away on February 25, 2005. His legacy continues to live on through the efforts of his family and the impact he made in the fight against childhood cancer.
